Data You Give Us Directly
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is submitted to the provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of the search terms. If you contact us, we receive the content of that message and use it to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most hosted services, the host may record routine log data, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and times. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand use patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or comparable tools.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited data to operate and improve the reference, address technical problems, and measure overall traffic. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to county and state portals, archives, library collections, and outside search providers. Once you use one of those services, its own terms and privacy practices control submitted information. Sponsored results are provided by an outside company.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and technical providers may process logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes stated here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or account profiles maintained by Jackson Residents Directory.
Users Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service holds. Research for Tennessee did not identify a comprehensive general consumer-privacy statute that creates a universal deletion or opt-out right. Because we keep very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available logs, then removing applicable information. Use the Contact page. Public records held by Tennessee, Madison County, or Jackson custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after publication of a revised policy indicates acceptance of the revision.
